RED SHIELD APPEAL 2022
5 things Shellharbour Salvation Army is doing to raise money for the community.
1. On Friday 27th May we have a “Shieldy” the Red Shield mascot costume. Shieldy is going to be out the front of church collecting from parents picking up their kids from school, from mini music parents Shieldy might even tour Shellharbour. So maybe u would like to be Shieldy or collect with Shieldy.
2. On the Saturday and Sunday of the Red Shield weekend (28th and 29th). We’re collecting at the Waterfront Shell Cove. That was our best spot last year and that was before they had put the water in marina, so it should be great this year.
3. On Sunday the 29th we’re doing a Bunnings BBQ, we need people to help with that, maybe even run that event.
4. On the 8th June. We are holding a Wills Day. So we need to spread the word to anybody who hasn’t got their Will sorted and tell them about our wills day. It’s $70, great deal.
5. Finally on the 27th of June we have The Red Shield Cup. This is a new annual golf tournament that raises money for Shellharbour Salvation Army. We need to get the word out for this. If we can get 100 people to play we make about $4000 and if this year goes well we could make a lot more than that in future years.
